Kumbaya is looking for an Operations and Management Executive to manage our operations.
About Kumbaya:
Kumbaya, a part of Samaj Pragati Sahayog, is a social enterprise, working towards the empowerment of marginalized, Adivasi, and minority women and people with disabilities through the art of stitching. In the Central Indian tribal heartlands, Kumbaya has been working for close to three decades to create alternative livelihood opportunities for the disadvantaged.
Responsibilities:
Manage operations and streamline activities
Develop strategic approaches and business plans to scale up operations
Generate, evaluate, and analyze financial statements
Build capacities of staff to meet organizational objectives
Write reports and proposals for funding
Develop communication material
Help in building capacities of the local team
Organize special training with experts
Nurture relationships with suppliers and customers
Special Requirements (Qualifications, Skills, Languages, etc.):
Multiple interests including management, business, design, women’s empowerment, operations, and process improvement
Good interpersonal skills
Sensitivity to the context of Samaj Pragati Sahayog
Willingness to pay attention to detail, learn new things, adapt, take initiative, make decisions, and find joy in the everyday
Interest in clothing and accessory design along with development and women's empowerment
Good English (written and spoken) and computer skills
Good marketing, communications, and business development skills
Deep interest in and grasp of finance, especially for social enterprises
Strong analytical, data compilation, and presentation skills
Also Preferred:
Proficiency in MS Excel, MIS, ERP systems, etc.
Understanding and communication of buyer requirements
Interest in sustainable design
Online cataloging
Salary: Negotiable, based on qualifications and experience.
